The faune sans frontières in the Appalachian Chain Program supports students to discover and connect with nature in the trans-border area of the Appalachians in Quebec and Vermont. This complex eco-region is unique; it is home to great mammals, rare plants, species at risk, non fragmented, and old growth forests, greenways and people who care about conservation.
To create a community that cares about the protection and conservation of our forests and natural heritage we need to promote environmental education as a tool of creating that necessary awareness and commitment.
Our program focuses on forest ecology and the protection of greenways.
